Honolulu Police Department
The Honolulu Police Department (HPD) is the main law enforcement agency for the City and County of Honolulu, Hawaii. Based at the Alapaʻi Police Headquarters, it patrols communities, responds to emergencies, investigates crimes, enforces traffic laws, and works with residents through community outreach programs.
Honolulu Fire Department
The Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) promotes community safety through prevention, preparedness, and effective emergency response. In addition to firefighting, it educates the public, enforces safety codes, and responds to medical emergencies, hazardous materials incidents, and natural disasters.
AED Institute of Hawaii
The AED Institute of Hawaii is dedicated to promoting the understanding and importance of early defibrillation and CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) within the community. Its core mission revolves around advancing the knowledge and skills necessary for effective response to sudden cardiac arrest.
Department of Public Safety
The Department of Public Safety (PSD) upholds justice and public safety in Hawaii by providing professional correctional and law enforcement services with integrity and fairness.
PSD manages correctional facilities, supervises offenders, and supports other agencies. Its duties include maintaining secure, rehabilitative prisons, overseeing parole and probation, and collaborating with partners to address public safety and promote community well-being.
